When I can’t do something or when I don’t know something, I try to figure things out on my own. I tried to fix my own car. I tried to capture the burglar. I do everything by myself. However, I’ve come to learn that it’s fine to receive help. There is nothing wrong with needing help.

When my daughter wanted a digital piano, I actually looked into it. I found some reviews here and helped her choose a fine digital piano. I don’t know why. However, I can definitely tell you that reading those reviews helped shorten the process a lot. Normally, we’d go through thousands of dollars and various digital pianos just to find one that’s decent. This time, because of some help that I received, we found a perfectly good digital piano in an hour.

It’s fine to get help. It doesn’t make you weaker. It makes you a better team player. For some reason, I learned this valuable lesson simply because my daughter wanted a digital piano. It’s funny how this world works sometimes.
